[Anime] CascadaThon Megamix [RE-OPENED]

Exciting news. D:
Our first anime MEP is here.

Now I know that Cascada is painfully overused, but the song is long and I've been dreaming of a MEP like this for ages. IT'S A VISION, THAT'S WHAT IT IS.
So yeah. The parts aren't all equal, but I really wanted to have the part change when the song changes. Of course this resulted with Miracle being short, and the end having two songs per part... ^^;
There are ten pars because Carla said she doesn't edit anime and nerzha said he won't be able to join yet. Played it safe. Hopefully.

COULD I HAVE PART 7 PLEAAASE? and are we able to use more than one anime in our part? i better get to downloading some HD footage so i can get to work.

I would love to be a part of this MEP, but I'm still downloading all of the stuff, and since converting always takes awhile as well, I don't really think I'll have enough time to edit, seeing as how I leave in about two weeks(ish) to go to the Philippines for winter break.

My cousins own an internet cafe, but that's kind of their business and livelihood, so I'm not gonna monopolize it and only really use it to work on homework. PLUS, my Vegas is on my desktop computer, so I can't take it with me anyway.

I won't be back until AFTER the deadline, so I'd literally have to download, convert, and edit everything in the next two weeks, and I don't want to make a commitment I might not be able to keep.

But sdlkfjakd, I wish I could join. D':

I'm sure what you guys come up with will be fabulous though, can't wait to see it.

Alright, my sister has generously allowed me to use the Vegas that's on her laptop while we're in the PI, so long as all the material stays on my external hardrive! :'D

There's still the issue of internet though, so if you don't mind that my part will be a few days late, then I'll totally join! I get back the 4th of January, so if that's okay then I'd like to snag part 4 please! <3

Ah, that's because my Mom is Pilipina and pretty much everyone on my mother's side of the family lives there. I get to see my cousin get married this year! I'm the oldest of four, so he's like the big brother I don't actually have.

Aaaaand, as for not being able to watch videos in Germany, have you tried hidemyass.com?

Youtube figures your geographical location based on your IP address, so if you hide that (with the website), then it can't tell what country you're in!

Hope that helps. It lets me watch the few videos that get blocked in Japan, so I'm thinking it should work for you too.

I don't have any anime that is 720, I'm sorry, but I did my best with what I have (Pokemon & InuYasha). BUT if you really want me to redo my part, then I'll do it - I just have to download them which may take a while, but worth it I guess

I also want to say that I had to convert this because the original file is over 200MB for some odd reason -_-

And the resolution is 1920x1080 ^^

The whole point of the studio is HD footage ;;___;;
I won't make you re-do your part but.. but next time, woman! Now start downloading that sexy HD footage!

But there IS a teeny tiny problem. Your original footage is less than 720p, right? So there is no point what-so-ever in rendering the final product in 1080p. That upscales the footage and makes it worse quality than it should be. I mean, there just isn't any sense in making the quality worse.

So all I'm asking is to render your part in 720p (that's upscaling as well, but the final MEP WILL be in 720p, so .. it'd be upscaled anyway, which is why the original footage should be HD wraaa!). Because as it is now, it's been upscaled to 1080p and it'd be downscaled to 720p in the final MEP. xD
My advice is to only render in 1080p if your original editing footage is set to that resolution.

On another note, I really love your part! You made me remember how much I love InuYasha! ^^

This is actually pretty fun for me, thank you for letting me in this group! And this made me realize how much I love Anime

No problem. xD And sorry for being so strict, I can't help it, I'm such a perfectionist (as you might've noticed on CFP).
I'm also gonna allow less than 720p footage in the future but ONLY if there's no 720p version of said footage. xD For example, there's no bluray of The Swan Princess, yet, at least. And it'd be quite sad if no one got to edit with Derek or Odette etc. :D and not sure if there's bluray footage of Pokémon or InuYasha either. xD
