I'm very curious, though, what program do you all use to convert footage cause my Vegas doesn't accept MKV footage *kicks it*

Ugh, Xilisoft is a bitch to crack. I've yet to re-crack mine on my computer so I just use the one on my boyfriend's comp x__x;

Because it is portable, you don't even have to install anything! It just sits on the desktop as a little icon, and that's it. :3

It's cracked, so don't worry about a serial. The only thing you have to worry about is after 30 or so conversions, the program will say that the trial has expired and will only convert 3 minutes of anything.

At this point, just go to the folder that the program creates (on the desktop, or in whatever folder you stick the program in), and delete it (not the program, to be clear, just the folder). The next time you open the program, it will re-create the folder and start over fresh, as if the trial never expired. Repeat as often as necessary.

I used to convert to .avi, but this seems to make the files unreadable in some people's Vegas, depending on their computer's codecs, so I suggest just converting to another high definition profile. I switched to MPEG-4, even though the .avi's were readable on my computer, just because the file size is smaller and the quality seems the same anyway.

The reason I didn't link that is because I've gotten complaints that it doesn't work when I shared that. xD So ... I stopped. Cuz I didn't bother trying it myself. :D

Portable programs can be a bit finicky, but on a whole they're pretty reliable if you're willing to look up workarounds. :>

I'll give it a go once I have something to convert.

Speaking of which, how long does it take to download one of these monster files? XD

I think it depends on your internet speed and the file itself. XD

For me, a standard 30 minute anime episode takes about 20 minutes to an hour, depending on how nice my internet decides to be to me. :'(

The torrents are usually more reliable/faster, since they download the parts of the file that are immediately available.

Download speeds differ on the connection speed / file size and with torrents they also differ based on the amount of seeders aka sharers.

The file I've been trying to download for the last hour hasn't budged from 0% and it's definitely downloading.

Funny thing is, my internet connection is good today.

But it's one of the Card Captor Sakura torrents.

Hmm, I just went to check on the torrent provided in the download section, and it's working fine for me. o_O

Do you use uTorrent? Because if you do, you can click on the "Pieces" tab to see if there's any activity going on at the micro level.

Or maybe you just need to re-download the torrent file...?

Very strange.

It's downloading a DRRR torrent perfectly fine and the file is bigger than the one I tried to download from the CCS torrent O.O
